We are pleased to announce the “Chinese Ambassador Fund at the University of Cyprus”, an initiative from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Cyprus. This initiative aims to enhance relations between Cyprus and China by supporting creative and innovative projects that have proven impact in bringing the people of the two countries together, characterized by professionalism and hold media report value.
The fund provides partial financial support to University of Cyprus students, academic and administrative staff for a wide range of activities, including but not limited to:
- Co-organization of lectures, seminars and conferences
- Organization of events related to China
- Collaboration activities (e.g., Chinese Language progress, dissertations, media articles, social media promotion).
- Participation in the “Chinese Bridge” Competition”
- Outstanding academic performance in UCY Chinese Language Courses
The funding serves as a partial financial incentive to support the implementation of the proposed project and is not intended to cover all associated expenses. Projects may be carried out in China, Cyprus, or a combination of both. The funding is available for new proposed activities or activities that have already been completed.
