“As part of her ONISILOS Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Post-Doctoral Research at the University of Cyprus, Dr Eftychia Mylona is organizing the hybrid international workshop:

 “Afterlives of Wars (1950s-1970s): Displacements and Materialities in the Eastern Mediterranean.”

The workshop explores displacement, migration, and the politics of everyday life in societies shaped by war and invasion, with a particular focus on Egypt, Cyprus, Lebanon, and Palestine / Israel. It examines how issues of property, material culture, and memory are debated, negotiated, and remembered in post-conflict settings, and how displacement and forced migration shape the lives of individuals and communities both within and beyond these contexts.
