Online Symposium: “Englishization of Higher Education: A Phenomenon of Glocalization?” 21-22 October 2021
Maastricht University and the ICLHE Association are pleased to inform Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE) of an exciting online Symposium entitled “Englishization of Higher Education: A Phenomenon of Glocalization?” on 21-22 October 2021. This Symposium replaces the 7th ICLHE Conference which, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, has been postponed to October 2022.
Key speakers are Kristina Hultgren (UK), Kwok-kam Tam (Hong Kong), Alma Maldonado-Maldonado (Mexico), Philippe Van Parijs (Belgium) and Aminata Cairo (Netherlands). Other contributors include many leading researchers into the impacts of Englishization and English-medium instruction on higher education. The programme comprising interviews and discussions and short contributions is designed to facilitate extensive audience participation.
